 Rate : 7.3  Among all the other short stories, Sticks by Geroge Sanders is shorter than any other past stories. Stcks from George sanders makes me wander what the pole means to the family. I liked this story as I though this was rather insightful. Dad in the family communicate with the sticks in the yard by decorating the sticks in every different occasion as shown in the story none of his offspring prefers his way. With unskillful way of communication, his disconnection with the family is shown after death when the story ends in vain with the new commers eradicating the pole. After the story the story made me look back of the value of family as the story reflects the death of the father. 

Rate: 5.1 More than any other stories I've read through the world literature class this story was the most relatable (not that I had any relations before tho) and relaistic stories overalll. The story was fasicnating before the sex scene as I could not understand the emotional buildup in the sex scene. Reading this short story I was rather disgust of highly detailed sex scene yet, I feel like if I read this story 10years after I might have different impression. But for now in small community placed deep in the woods of Gangwon, I feel like there is zero chnace of meeting and dateing someone who is 14years older. Still this  story was facinating in the point where it showed light realtionship with someone and spot reeality of chat-date in younger women's perspective.                                             ...

Rate: 5.6   Overall  The Lottery by Shirley Jackson reminds human nature and history that was past believed to be tradition yet through generation such tradition disappear due to its immorality. Traditions like cannibalism disappeared a lot as people consider cannabalism to be inhuman. Reading through this short story make me contemplate the tradition. 17 years of my life I never thought tradition could be right or wrong. It should be respected as the ways it is. Reading Through this story, I think I chaned my mind. In oour society such culture and tradition the toture human under the notion of god or holy being are still prevalent which as society change and lives of human natured are valued such traditions are catagorized uneithical and unworthy. Agreeing to the point, I was most shocked when at first peaceful setting of the story with young child picking up rocks reveals its intention to kill someone nominated. Through out long tradition and brain wash none of the children ...
